Abiding the rules of the Election Commission, this poll campaigns didn't see the glimpse of huge hoardings of the local and national Political Heroes, Distribting freebies like caps, bands, ribbons etc.....

But they took a new route for pulling the crowd wiz showcasing Glamour in the campaign, the most experimented and proven success of this formulae is Bihar and Jharkand. Bollywood personalities have descended in droves on the states to drum up support for various parties. Not all the celebs know exactly what they are doing, but that hardly matters when the crowds are happy. This is just a publicity act followed to grab huge number of votes; otherwise why would somebody get a person for the campaign who doesn't know for what reason his presence is required.

Koena Mitra campaigned in Jharkhand for JVM (Jharkhand Vikas Morcha), was in a rally with former CM Babulal Marandi and also spoke to people in Bengali, she told the media that she was there 'just as a surprise element'. 'I don't understand politics,' said Koena. 'I am doing it for my friend [party member] Vinod Sinha.'

Mahima Chaudhary was a highlight in Congress candidate Subodh Kant Sahay's campaign in Ranchi where she backed him and told the people that the state needs development and that they can help by educating their children. She was seen in another campaign in Jamshedpur along with TV superstar Ronit Roy

Lok Janshakti Party candidate Ram Vilas Paswan's son Chirag, a budding actor, radiated star power while campaigning in Hajipur, near Patna. 'Women fed me with their hands, everyone wanted to shake hands and speak to me,' he says. 'I was overwhelmed.'

In Patna, Shatrughan Sinha's daughter, model Sonakshi, put her youthful glamour to good use by accompanying him on the poll trail. She is taking a break in Mumbai, but will soon return to Bihar. 'It was wonderful,' she said. 'I used to go to Patna when my grandmother was alive and now her house has literally been turned into a BJP office. I went to temples, gurdwaras and interacted with poor people. They were so happy, and wished me luck in my career. They knew I am going to enter Bollywood,' she exclaimed.

Jharkhand Vikas Morcha also got Nisha Kothari and TV star Shweta Tiwari. Former star Poonam Dhillon campaigned for Sahay in Jharkhand, saying, 'It felt like homecoming.'

Zeenat Aman was at Congress rallies, adding oomph to the whole poll scene.

Minissha Lamba spoke to young voters outside St Xavier's College, Ranchi, where she campaigned for the Congress. 'This was my first visit to Jharkhand. People here are really very nice,' she was quoted as saying. 'Thousands waited in the sun for hours to hear us.'
